Sea, Sky | Sammi Lynch

£800.00

Pastel and oil on paper, 15 × 21.5 cm, Sold framed

Sammi Lynch’s practice begins with drawing from life with pastels, these drawings then serve as material for working in the studio and are developed and translated through a range of techniques including painting and printmaking. Lynch's more-than-geographical landscapes are suffused with human feeling. Through her work, she investigates the effects of colour and composition on both optical and emotional levels. Her paintings evoke layered geologies, recalling places that feel simultaneously both geographically specific and universally shared.
