Hill Talkers | Holly Mills

£545.00

Egg tempera on etching mounted on board, 2024, 5 × 8 cm, Sold framed

Holly Mills’ practice can be seen as a visceral reaction to both text and lived experience, concerned with creating ambiguous in-between spaces that border fact and fiction, observed and imagined. Experimentation and the instinctive nature of her image-making are integral to Holly’s practice, allowing accidents to inform the direction of her work. Holly’s imagery weaves in references from Victorian samplers to Indian miniatures, combined with threads of thought and familiar archetypes to sew together new, mysterious landscapes.
